The wishing trees were formed in Oswestry, Shropshire in September 1997 primarily to record material written by the band when not busy performing as pub rock / covers band Up To Scratch. The new venture was, in part, inspired by the increasing demand of fans to hear the superb songs written by vocalist Pete Jones. A limited-edition album of five tracks from that original recording session was produced in February 1998 and featured 'You'll Never Make it in America', 'Out There Under the Rain', 'Losing Her Alibi', 'Lessons of War' and 'Going Undercover'. There are now many new songs which are ready to record and it is hoped that a recording session will take place later this year. We will keep you up to date on this project. |
